Shabu shabu, translated as swish-swish, is a Japanese hot pot meal of thin slices of meat and vegetables cooked together on the table in a nabe. A nabe, or hotpot, refers to a dish where a nabe pot used for food preparation itself is brought to your dining table, where all of your guests eat from it by serving their own portion into their individual serving bowls.
